UNITED STREET PIANOS

The aim of United Street Pianos is to bring people together through the love of music by offering a place where everyone is welcome to play, listen or just mingle with the rest of humanity. Since 2014 in Venice we have donated street pianos to Santa Lucia Train Station, the Michelangelo Guggenheim Liceo Artistico Statale, SS Giovanni e Paolo Hospital and the Ca’ Pesaro Museum of Modern Art.

A short film documenting the arrival of ‘Giovanni Paolo’ at the Ospedale SS. Giovanni e Paolo in Venice. This is Italy’s first public piano in a hospital, born on 20/07/2016 at 5:30pm.

Un Picnic Di Musica is a celebration of Lucy, Italy’s first Street Piano born on September 11th 2014 in Venezia S.Lucia’s train station. Italian Pianist and Singer Sofia Taliani has been working in collaboration with young British filmmaker Daisy Rickman to bring people together through the love of music, and as a result of Lucy’s presence in Venice there are now public pianos for everyone to play in Roma, Torino, Milano and Napoli’s train stations. Un Picnic di Musica honours the gifted performers of Venice, paying homage to both the City and it’s People.
